Colour

Like the Polaroid, now Kodachrome is following it's step to demise for the traditional film camera. Kodachrome was widely regarded as the film for professional photographers, hell, even rock star like Paul Simon sang about it. What was so alluring about the Koadchrome was the vibrant colour and the crispness of the images that a photographer could capture.

On Kodak's website they have a Kodachrome slideshow to show off it's glory. It looks stunning but believe me you have to see the prints for real and not on a monitor screen to fully appreciate it even more.

Sad truth is nothing will last forever, however i believe there'll always be a group of dedicated and passionate photographers who will always try and keep it alive as long as possible even if it meant to have to setup a processing plant to develop the films.

Modern Lovers is a site i built for a friend (Craig) who runs a club night (Modern Lovers) in Edinburgh. He supplied me with the design and i shaped and molded it into a Drupal 6 theme. Many contrib modules were installed to provide more functionality. read more »

This film is called 'Eclectic 1.0' and was created by Ross Ching. It is a series of time-lapse shots that was edited together and put to music. What's amazing about this film is that it was all shot using a digital SLR camera and then edited and pieced together using Final Cut Pro. read more »

If there are any sites on tutorials or information about Digital Photography check up on for some great tips, then The Luminous Landscape is surely one of them. I must admit the site design is poor but the wealth of information is amazing. I seriously recommend bookmarking the website if you're into Photography like myself.
