New Wiki Launched that Promises to Ease the Software Troubleshooting Process

TroubleshootingWiki.org is a new website designed to provide users with comprehensive, free guides on software troubleshooting. This site intends to help users eliminate the potential problems that might arise while working with various applications.

It is often difficult finding a resource that is focused on providing quality, relevant, and free information on software troubleshooting at one central location. Launched initially with over 20 tutorials covering different Content Management Systems and other software, TroubleshootingWiki.org is expected to grow into an exhaustive troubleshooting resource where users are able to add their own tips and tricks.

Yet another fork of Mambo - miaCMS

It's happen before and it's happen again... Another fork of Mambo CMS.

Couple of years ago, there was a split due to some disagreements between the Mambo committee and core developers, and the core developers along with some of the working group members decided to walk out on the Mambo project. Drupal-Alfresco Integration and Alfresco’s Move to the Front-End

Via Dries Buytaert, Rob Purdie is announcing the relaunch of Amnesty International’s site. The new site was built using Drupal and Alfresco. It is interesting to see how many people have commented on both posts who are craving more information about Drupal and Alfresco integration and it is no wonder. Security announcement for Joomla! 1.5 - XML-RPC issue

After releasing Joomla! 1.5 stable we have discovered a high priority security issue. The vulnerability has been discovered in XML-RPC in combination with the blogger API. There is a security problem in this code that makes it possible to alter the articles on your site (including removal). This problems has been fixed currently by members of the development team and the Joomla! bug squad, solution is now available from Subversion. So what do you need to do until we release Joomla! 1.5.1?

Adding RSS Footer to Joomla! RSS

I recieved an email from a user requesting for a Wordpress RSS Footer plugin by Joost De Valk to be ported to Joomla!

After having installed it on Wordpress to see what it was, it seems to be just a simple insert of a line of text that appears on each feed's description. So it didn't seem to be of any significant to port the plugin. Also, it would only require one line of code to be added.  read more »

Elgg 0.9 released

It's finally here, Elgg 0.9!

A big thanks to everybody for testing the 0.9 release candidates, your input was invaluable for tracking down some major and minor issues. We're quite proud of this first community release, which includes a large number of enhancements, fixes and new features. Especially the improved installer and configuration manager will help make installing Elgg a breeze - thanks go to Rolando for this one.
